Buying a bottle is usually less expensive than using gel capsules, and since dogs prefer to eat food rather than swallowing capsules you should ideally open up the capsules and pour the gel over the dog food anyway. Keep in mind that flax seed oil in a bottle can go rancid. Store it in a dark place, ideally in the refrigerator, and do not buy huge bottles unless you have many dogs.
