Flax Seed Oil Recipe
This flax seed oil recipe will yield you healthy pizza bread with plenty of flax seeds and sufficient amounts of flax seed oil. Unlike traditional pizza bread, this flax seed oil recipe creates a pizza rich in fiber and comparatively low in fat. You can decrease the amount of low-fat cheese even further if you want a really lean pizza, but keep in mind that cheese contains beneficial calcium. Ideally pick healthy food items as topping for this flax seed oil recipe, such as fresh vegetables, low-fat cheese, and sea food, chicken or turkey. Adding hot spices such as chili will increase your metabolism.
- Water
- ½ cup of sun-dried tomatoes
- 2 ½ cup of all purpose flour. If you want a healthier pizza, you can substitute some of the all purpose flour for whole-grain wheat flour.
- ½ cup of light parmesan cheese
- ½ cup of ground flax seeds
- 1 tablespoon of granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon of baking powder
- 2 teaspoons of oregano
- ½ teaspoons of salt
- ¼ teaspoon of grounded black pepper
- 2 tablespoons of fax seed oil
- 1 ¼ cup of skim milk
- 1 egg
Flax seed oil recipe instructions:
- Boil some water, enough to cover the sun-dried tomatoes and make them softer.
- After approximately 10 minutes in water, the sun-dried tomatoes will be soft enough and ready to be diced.
- After dicing the tomatoes, it is time to turn on the oven. It should be pre-heated to 350 degrees F.
- Put the diced tomatoes in a bowl and add flour, parmesan, ground flax seeds, sugar, baking powder, oregano, salt and pepper. Blend all ingredients well.
- Pour the flax seed oil, the skim milk and the egg in another bowl and whisk together.
- Pour the flax seed oil mixture over the flour mixture and stir until the ingredients have blended and formed a moist mix.
- Grease a pan and pour the mixture into it.
- Bake the pizza until it is almost finished. Add you favorite toppings and continue to bake until the pizza is completely finished. (Different toppings will require different amounts of time in the oven.)
